1. Department was established in 1967

2. Prof. N. k. Vaidyanathan was the first Head of the Department.

3. For the last eight years the department has been achieving more than 85% result.

4. 2006 - a vocational course “Advertisement, sales promotion and sales Management”, by the UGC with full financial support.

5. Was sanctioned for five years.

6. Majority of them are working in well reputed advertising companies and business establishment, both India and abroad
