 DEPARTMENT PROFILE
The Department of Mathematics was established in 1981 with the
introduction of B.Sc Mathematics course. Prof. P.P Krishnanunni
was the first Head of the Dept. The Dept. could produce 9
university ranks which include 4 first ranks, 4 second ranks and
one third rank. In 2011, Dept. set a record in the history of
Calicut University as 3 students got first rank with 100% marks
and one student got second rank with 99.8% marks. The Dept. Got
100% success in 7 years. In 2013 the Department became P.G.
Department with the introduction of M.Sc Mathematics.
