Dear Sir/ Madam
We, the Department of English, Sri Vyasa NSS College, are happy
to announce that we are organizing a two day national seminar
sponsored by UGC on 'Paradigms of Resurgence' on 5th and 6th
February 2015.
About the Seminar
One of the predictable social components in any order of
"civilized "life is the existence of the inevitable dichotomy of
power and subjugation. The definite signifiers of domination are
so standardized in character and form that they display an
unvarying consistency in the application of supremacy. But, it
is a historical certainty that beyond every trauma, agony,
oppression, subservience and violence, there obviously will
emerge an indomitable sense of rebellion and an intensive voice
of dissent. Then comes the moment of resurgence from those
structures of dominance and institutionalized monopolizing. The
effective intervention of resurgent entities prevalent in all
cultural domains-familial, religious, political, social, legal,
economic and artistic- has given rise to the decisive subversion
of the pre-existent apparatus of segmentation and has further
reoriented discursive practices and restructured ideological
constituents. The fundamental objective of the proposed seminar
is to identify the divergent patterns of resurgence and to
discuss its wide ranging scope and significance.
