Rules And Regulations
1. GENERAL RULES

a) Political activities are prohibited in the college campus.

b) The students shall not organize or attend meetings other than official ones.

c) The students resorting to strike shall not enter the college verandah or classroom.

d) Students causing damages to college properties will be fined to pay compensation.

e) Students are not allowed to make complaints in a body or present any collective petition.

2. ADMISSION

a) Application for admission should be submitted in the office on or before the due date and receipt obtained thereof. Late application will not be taken into consideration in the normal case.

b) Students admitted should have sufficient copies of qualifying certificate, Mark list, TC, Conduct Certificate etc with them before submitted at the time of admission will be returned only after the entire course is completed.

c) The principal has the right to deny admission to an applicant without assigning any reason whatsoever.

d) Lists of eligible applicants and waiting lists for the different courses will be published in the Notice Board. Interview cards will be sent accordingly. The college authorities will be responsible for non-receipt on interview cards. Applicants are directed to browse the lists and verify the position.

e) Students who have passed examinations considered equivalent to +2 (CBSC, JTSLC) should submit an attested copy of their mark list along with their application. After admission they will have to apply for the recognition of their qualifying degree from the University of Calicut.

f) Students who have passed the qualifying examination outside Kerala should produce a certificate to prove that the examination has been approved by the University of Calicut

g) Claims for Bonus marks by the applicants for various courses invariably be supported by the attested copies of the eligibility certificates.

h) The price of the application form is Rs.30/-

i) Applicants desirous of being considered in the community quota should produce community certificate.

j) Candidates applying in sports quota produce certificates to prove their proficiency in that particular discipline.

   3. ATTENDANCE & PROMOTIONS
 

1. College class timing will be from 10 am to 4 pm and luch interval will be from 1pm to 2 pm. The first three period on a day constitue the first session and the next two periods constitute the second session. Absence during one period in each session will be reckoned as absence for the entire day.

2. The attendance and progress certificate (APC) which is absolutely necessary for promotion and asmission to the Univeresity examination will be issued only when a student has sufficient attendence and has shown satifactory academy progress.

3. The APC shall not be issued unless the student has completed the course of the instruction to the satisfaction of the college authorities and his / her progress and conduct have been satisfactory.

4. Students whose attendance falls below the minimum required (75%) shall apply for condonation throught Principal to the University. The application for the condonation shall be accompanied by a treasury receipt of Rs. 100/-. The reason for each days' absence will have to be explained . In the case of absence on account of illness, a medical certificate have to be submitted . Condonation upto 14 days, may be granted by the syndicate.

No application for condonation will be recommended by the Pricipal unless he / she is satisfied that the shortage of attendance was due to causes beyond the control of the student based on the report of the tutor and HOD. Ordinarily only prolonged illness will be accepted as a genuine reason for shortange of attendance. Absence without leave will not be condoned under any circumstances.

4. TRANSFER CERTIFICATE & CONDUCT CERTIFICATE

A Transfer Certificate will be issued only after the student has cleared all outstanding dues. TC and conduct certificates will be issued free of charge if applied for within three months of completion of a course of study not later than 30 th June of the next academic year.A fee of Rs.15/- will be levied from those who apply for TC after 30th June of the succeeding academic year. The format of application form for applying TC and conduct certificate is also given in the calendar.

Application not attested by the tutor will not be forwarded to the University under any circumstances
