The staff Council is the topmost advisory body established in the college to advise the principal on academic and administrative matters. It helps in smooth functioning of the college in academic and all other matters and in the maintenance of discipline. The principal will be its ex-officio Chairperson. Heads of all academic departments are members of staff council. Two persons elected from the teaching staff, librarian and the superintendent of college office are also members of College Staff council. The council unanimously select one of its members as the ecretary.

The objectives of the committee include
• Communication: The council helps facilitate communication between staff and college officials.
• Decision making: The council participates in decision making processes that affect staff relationships with the college community.
• Academic matters: The council advises the Principal on academic matters.
• Discipline: The council deals with serious misconduct by students.
• College welfare: The council helps with important decisions related to college welfare.
• Staff activities: The council arranges activities for staff, such as farewell functions and picnics.
• College policies: The council collects and disseminates information about college policies.
• Staff representation: The council nominates staff representatives as members of various committees of the college.
