Objectives of IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell)
• Enhancement and Integration: To develop a system for conscious, consistent, andcontinues effort to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.
• Internalization and Institutionalization: To promote various measures for institutionalfunctioning towards quality enhancement through adopting internal quality culture andimplementing of best practices.
• Standardization and Benchmarking: To establish benchmarks for various academic andother activities of the institute and ensure their periodic monitoring and improvement.
• Stakeholder Engagement: To include all stakeholders in the quality enhancement processand to create a participatory and autonomous work culture.
Mission of IQAC
• Quality Initiatives: To initiate, execute and supervise various academic activities that arenecessary to improve the quality of education and its deliverables.
• Continuous Improvement: To provide a sound basis for decision-making to improveinstitutional functioning and to act as a dynamic system for quality changes in HEIs.
• Documentation and Reporting: To ensure timely and efficient execution of academic,administrative and financial activities, including proper documentation and reporting to therespective bodies.
• Faculty Development: To enhance faculty teaching and research capabilities throughorganized workshops, seminars, and other professional development programs.
• Promoting a learner centric environment for students and staff that foster the missionand vision of the Institution.
Vision of IQAC
• The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), established as per NAAC guidelines, aim towork towards quality sustenance and enhancement of the academic and administrativeperformance of the Institution.
• Sustainable Quality Assurance: To develop a quality system for conscious, consistent, andcatalytic improvement in the overall performance of institutions.
• Quality Culture: To instill a quality culture within the institution to support the holisticdevelopment of students and staff, and to meet the demands of a rapidly changingeducational environment.
Functions of IQAC
1. Facilitation of a student-centric environment: Creating an environment conducive to qualityeducation and facilitating participatory teaching and learning processes. Encouraging theuse of modern teaching tools viz. ICT and other innovative pedagogical techniques.
2. Feedback Collection and Analysis: Collecting feedback from students, parents, and otherstakeholders on quality-related institutional processes. Analyzing feedback to identifyareas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
3. Development and Application of Quality Benchmarks: Establishing and maintaining qualitybenchmarks for various academic and administrative activities. Ensuring that thesebenchmarks are regularly reviewed and updated.
4. Dissemination of Information on Quality Parameters: Sharing information on variousquality parameters through organizing workshops, seminars, and conferences
5. Documentation of All Activities: Documenting the various programs and activities onquality improvement. Maintaining a record of variou events and developments organizedby IQAC and other cells
6. Coordination of Quality-Related Activities: Coordinating the quality-related activities of theinstitution. Identifying and implementing best practices within the institution.
7. Development of a Quality Culture: Cultivating a culture of quality within the institution byinvolving all stakeholders in quality initiatives. Encouraging continuous self-assessmentand self-improvement among faculty and staff.
8. Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR): Preparing and submittingthe AQAR to NAAC based on the prescribed guidelines and parameters in time andconsolidating the report.
9. Acting as a Nodal Agency: Ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance ofacademic, administrative and financial tasks. Liaising with external quality assuranceagencies, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders.
10. Capacity Building and Professional Development: Organizing training and developmentprograms for faculty and staff to enhance their competencies. Promoting research,consultancy, and other academic activities to improve institutional quality. |
